Welcome!

Summer is finally here, the flowers are blooming and we are excited that you are joining us on the flower journey!

Thank you!

Eeeek! I am so excited to be finally handing you some summer blooms! We have been planning, plotting, preparing for these flowers for a year, just for you! I realize that some incredible members do not have a clue who the heck we are (if you do, save yourself some boredom and skip on down!)

Well, hello there my name is Jessica and I’m a crazy flower lover. With the help of my husband, Graham, and our two future flower—farming daughters we are Sierra Flower Farm. All our flowers are lovingly grown in the quaint town of Gardnerville. We have been at a new property for ten months now. In that short time, we have taken a patch of unloved dirt and it is now finally a thriving flower farm. We have had hurdles, we have hustled, we have cried, we have rejoiced in the endless ups and downs that we have faced this season with the flowers. Moving an active business, let alone a farming business, is a feat of fools. Well, we are just foolish enough to keep trying! There were times that it felt we would never conquer this season but alas we have and are eager to share the bounty with each of you!

To learn more about who we are and our urban farm check out the video link below!

With the summer heat and to keep the flowers as hydrated as possible we are delivering the flowers in a container. To keep the subscription affordable and to not have to charge a deposit for future members, we ask that each container is returned to us. Except for the last delivery, that one will be for you to keep (we promise to make it cute)! If you’re not home, no worries! Just leave it by the front door and we will swap out the old one for the new one! Thank you in advance!

We have tons of flowers growing in the field! Though I would love to share every variety in the field… that can be overwhelming. Therefore, I chose two of my summer favorites to chat about: zinnias and dahlias! Two blog posts about flowers not enough? Be sure to subscribe to our blog to get the latest and freshest blogs!

These beauties are a must have for summer! Ours are just shooting out their first blooms and we cannot wait to tuck them into your bouquet! Want to know more about zinnias? We have a blog post just for that!

We want you to get the most out of your locally grown flowers! Farm fresh flowers are a different experience than those purchased from more traditional outlets, such as a grocery store or florist, in that these flowers still think they are very much alive! They will dance for you but will drink tons and tons of water- way more than you are probably used to! Here is our cut flower care guide to help you get optimal vase life.

Deliveries will be made beginning in the early afternoon, with the aim to be done by 3pm, though with the heat and road work season it has been later than that! I aim for the afternoon since many of our members are at work until 5pm, this way the flowers are not left unattended too long. As long as the weather isn’t too terrible and there is some shade, I will leave the flowers unless otherwise requested. If you have a specific time that delivery needs to be made, we will do our best to accommodate, within reason. I am the one harvesting, assembling and delivering, I thank you for your understanding!

If you will be out of town or unable to receive your flower bouquet on any date listed below, please do not hesitate to let us know. We have a couple different options we can do to accommodate with advanced notice such as switching the delivery date, doubling up on a bouquet one week or surprising a loved one or a friend of yours if you prefer!

Deliveries will be made to the provided address. Complimentary delivery is restricted to the towns of Nevada: Gardnerville, Minden, Genoa and Carson City. Delivery outside these towns will be subject to an additional delivery fee. To avoid the flowers being exposed to the elements, someone should be at the provided address to receive the flowers. Otherwise, we will leave the flowers at the doorstep unless weather conditions are too severe. In that instance, if we cannot communicate to deliver the flowers in person, they will not be delivered. We will attempt to contact you or the recipient to reschedule delivery, otherwise credit may be applied for future Sierra Flower Farm flowers, a refund will not be offered. Once the flowers are delivered, we are no longer responsible for their care and will not provide a replacement or refund unless we are notified within 24-hours, receive the flowers back, and have deemed that somewhere we were responsible for their demise. We cannot control the weather or Acts of God, if we lose crop and are unable to fulfill all the the order, a refund will be offered or credit applied for future use for Sierra Flower Farm flowers. By purchasing our products, you are agreeing to our terms. By stating "yes" you are acknowledging our terms.

We are looking forward to handing you blooms soon!
