A Little About Us…

For nearly a decade, we have passionately cultivated specialty cut flowers, providing customers and florists with a true farm-to-table (or centerpiece!) experience.

We currently operate on just under half an acre of cut flower production space, but through our carefully honed growing techniques, we’ve learned how to maximize our yield. Beyond growing these beautiful blooms, we are also event florists, which means we fully understand the intricacies and pressures of the industry.

Our goal is to offer you incredible seasonal flowers that will not only enhance your designs but also reinforce your brand’s commitment to sustainable practices.

If you have a question that isn’t covered here, feel free to contact us directly—we’re always happy to assist!

Our online Wholesale Shop will open for orders Monday August 19, 2024!

 1. What flower varieties do you offer?

We focus on growing premium event flowers and specific named varieties to ensure you have the best selection for your designs. Our diverse lineup may vary slightly each year based on customer demand, but you can typically find these favorites on our farm:

  • Spring (April, Late May-June): Tulips, ranunculus, anemones, snapdragons, peonies

  • Summer/Fall (July - Late September/Early October or until Frost): Zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, dahlias, ornamental grasses

  • We do not currently offer edible flowers. While we do grow flowers that are considered edible, we are only insured for selling them as ornamentals.

For the 2024 season, we have over 2,000 dahlias in the ground, featuring more than 60 varieties ranging from the beloved Café au Lait to a stunning selection of whites. Currently, the whites are beginning to bloom alongside various pinks, from soft blush to deeper tones, as well as peaches. Our moodier fall colors, including bronzes and burgundies, are on their way, perfect for autumn palettes.

We are particularly excited to offer our exclusive, one-of-a-kind zinnias in unique shades of caramel, dusky pinks, and more. These zinnias boast large, highly doubled flower heads that you won’t find anywhere else!

2. What are your ordering and delivery procedures?

During our season, we’ll upload estimated inventory every Monday by 12 pm PST. Orders can be placed directly through our password-protected wholesale storefront until Wednesday at 12pm. After Wednesday at 12 pm, please contact us directly for availability.

  • Local Pickup: A minimum purchase of $100 is required for local pickup at our residence/farm or our family’s accounting office in Gardnerville, NV. Pickup days are Wednesdays or Thursdays. If another day is needed, please contact us directly.

  • Delivery: Delivery may be available for an additional fee with a minimum order of $250. Please contact us directly to discuss availability, delivery days, and associated fees.

  • Bucket Deposits: Due to the cost of Procona buckets, a deposit will be required per bucket. This deposit will be refunded upon the return of the bucket(s).

3. Do you offer any custom growing or pre-order options?

  • If you have specific requests, we’re open to suggestions with enough notice, typically we are investing in our varieties 12-18 months in advance of their harvesting season. For example, we are selecting and securing tulip and ranunculus varieties in the prior spring of harvest.

    • If it aligns with our growing practices and is feasible for our farm, we’d be happy to consider adding it to our offerings.

  • For pre-ordering, we can provide an estimate of availability in advance, but please note:

    • Exact availability may not be confirmed until about a week before the order is due.

    • This ensures you receive the freshest flowers at the peak of their season.

4. What is the availability schedule for different flowers?

As field-grown flower farmers in Northern Nevada, our availability can vary depending on the weather. While we can provide a general seasonal guide, specific availability may change due to our unique growing conditions. We recommend checking our weekly inventory updates to see what’s currently available.

5. What is the quality control process for your flowers?

Depending on the variety, flowers are harvested on Monday mornings or are harvested to order. We take the utmost care to harvest each flower at its optimal stage for vase life. After harvesting, we follow the appropriate post-harvest handling techniques specific to each variety to ensure maximum freshness and longevity. As florists ourselves, we understand the importance of properly harvested and conditioned blooms, so you can trust that your flowers will be in the best possible condition.

6. Can you provide information on vase life and care tips for your flowers?

    • Each flower variety has its ideal vase life. For example, ranunculus can last over two weeks in the vase, while zinnias typically last around five days, which is optimal for that variety.

    • Local flowers differ from imported ones in that they are still very much alive when they come straight from the field, meaning they will drink much more water than you might be used to.

    • Most flower varieties can be treated similarly to what you’re accustomed to, but a few have specific needs for optimal vase life. For instance, zinnias prefer to be stored in a cooler set above 40°F, as temperatures below 37°F can damage these cold-sensitive flowers.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help!

7. How sustainable are your farming practices?

We believe flowers should be enjoyed, touched, and inhaled without any worry of toxins. While we are not certified organic, we strictly adhere to organic practices for managing pests and weeds. Our integrated pest management system includes using beneficial insects, ducks and chickens, and the responsible application of OMRI-approved pest controls.

8. Do you offer any bulk discounts or pricing tiers?

Yes, we do! For orders over $500 during our peak season, we encourage you to reach out to us directly to discuss potential price discounts. We’re happy to offer a discount as a thank you for your larger order and continued support. Typically, we can provide a discount of 10% off your total order, but this can vary based on availability and the specific flowers you’re purchasing.

9. What are your payment terms?

For current inventory, payment is due through our website before pickup and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Custom orders will be negotiated directly, with an invoice sent to you. In some cases, a non-refundable deposit of 25%-50% may be required upfront, with the remainder of the invoice due at pickup.

Please refer to our Wholesale Purchasing Agreement sent to you within 48 hours of applying for our Wholesale Program for further details on our terms and conditions.

10. Can we visit the farm to see the flowers before purchasing?

We understand that seeing our flowers in person can be valuable, and we’re open to arranging farm visits for our wholesale florists. However, as a working farm with a busy schedule, we kindly ask that visits be reserved for florists who are placing or considering larger orders or who are interested in becoming regular customers.

11. How do you handle unexpected changes in availability or weather-related issues?

  • Growing in Northern Nevada comes with its challenges, which is why we do not confirm orders or inventory until we can reasonably harvest and hold the flowers, taking into account any unexpected weather or other unforeseen issues. The harvest window may vary depending on the variety. For example, zinnias do not store well without a decline in quality, while we can harvest and hold ranunculus or peonies for a longer period without compromising their condition.

  • In the event of unexpected changes, we will promptly communicate with you to discuss available options, such as substitutions or adjustments to your order, ensuring you have the freshest flowers possible.
